MANILA - Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Sixto Brillantes will go on vacation starting tomorrow afternoon.
Brillantes says he will leave with his daughter and a friend on a trip to Cambodia, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
The Comelec en banc has appointed the most senior commissioner, Lucenito Tagle, as acting chairman while he is on vacation.
Brillantes did not specify when he will be back, except to say that he will miss the Independence Day reception in Malacanan.
