Good news to those who want to learn the sport.
I spoke with the owner of a Boracay Windsurfing School and they are opening up a windsurfing school here in tambuli, complete with beginners kit and instructors. So, watch out! Probably before the start of the amihan season!
See you there guys...![]()
there were three tropical depressions last week, two became tropical storms, intensifying the southwestern monsoon. but as expected, it is so reliable and unpredictable. too gusty and blows only in a short span of time.
the northeastern monsoon aka amihan should be here in a couple of weeks.
we can't wait!
anybody interested? we have already 5 boards and 5 sails! hehe
first sign of amihan last sunday!
fair, hot, dry and very windy!
yipee
how much would the training cost?Originally Posted by koykoy
probably lower than the boracay rates since our goal now is to introduce the sport to the locals and eliminate the perception that windsurfing is expensive.
but the cost of the training arent that bad actually:

yes, you can tag along with us. during this season, we are usually at seafront beach in liloan, about 500 meters north of tunays skimboarding area. i suggest you start reading about wind theory. this is a good start: http://www.cal-sailing.org/library/w...f/windsurf.pdf
you should also familiarize yourself with sailing terms such as bow, stern, port, starboard, windward, leeward, etc.
our next schedule will probably be next weekend as the forecast for this weekend is severe weather with lots of rains and thunderstorm.![]()
got it... i'm familiar w/ tunay coz we skim in the area...
will u let me know when ur going? thanks![]()
