^ for me, I'll buy the GTX 660 Ti... just as what I did... its faster than the HD 7950 on my gaming resolution @ 1920 x 1080... below is a review from Guru3D... the HIS HD 7950 ICEQ Boost is just a hair away from the GTX 660 Ti on Crysis 3 @ Very High Quality... difference was just 2 fps at 2560 x 1600 resolution... for sure, the GTX 660 Ti was a tad faster than the HIS HD 7950 ICEQ Boost on 1920 x 1080 gaming resolution...

    HIS Radeon HD 7950 HIS IceQ X2 review - DX11: Crysis 3

here's a review from TechSpot.com on High Quality w/ SMAAx1 ... again, the GTX 660 Ti is superior in performance compared to the HD 7950 Boost until the resolution was cranked up to 2560 x 1600 resolution... the difference was just a negligible 1 fps... the GTX 660 Ti was a hair faster (1 fps) to the HD 7950 Non-Boost variant...

take note, in the review below, the GTX 660 Ti is a tad bit faster compared to the HD 7970 Non-GHz variant until the 2560 x 1600 resolution... it even performed the same as w/ the HD 7970 GHz Ed on 1680 x 1050 and just dropped under 1 fps difference on 1920 x 1200 resolution. the review just showed the power of the GTX 660 Ti in gaming... and remember, it's on Crysis 3... the game can melt our PC... as what they said... hehehe...

Crysis 3 Performance Test: Graphics & CPU > High Quality Performance - TechSpot

and this one, on the Very High Quality w/ SMAAX1 on Crysis 3... again, the GTX 660 Ti showed is power as it performed identical to the HD 7950 Boost until the 2560 x 1600 resolution... wherein, the difference of both was just 1 fps in favor of the HD 7950 Boost... but the HD 7950 Non-Boost variant surrenders to the GTX 660 Ti as it was trailing all the way behind the later on all tested resolutions...

Crysis 3 Performance Test: Graphics & CPU > Very High Quality Performance - TechSpot

below is an exceprt from the above review (Conclusion)... i'm pretty sure now that both AMD and Nvidia had optimized their drivers for this game man hinoon... basta ako, i'm very very very happy on the GTX 660 Ti's performance on SLI @ Very High Quality in playing Crysis 3... my CPU is just a SB i3-2120 though but the rig gives a punch during playing the game @ 1920 x 1080 resolution on a 27" monitor...

"In our opinion, for the typical gamer, the best graphics card for playing Crysis 3 right now is the GTX 660 Ti, as a single card can deliver an average of 40fps at 1920x1200 using the high quality preset, which is more frames than the HD 7970 and the old GTX 580. Better still, two of them in SLI allow for a solid 60fps at 1920x1200 on very high quality, which seems like the very definition of a sweet spot to us."

^ hehehe... ikaw gyud bro... pero, kun mag 8XMSAA @ 1920x1080 sa Cyris 3... mao ra ni ang max resolution sa akoang monitor... kamang2x ang GTX 660 Ti 2-way SLI... don't know sa uban GPUs kay wla pa ko maka suway man pud... hehehe...

planned to change the i3 to a "K" CPU na... na intriga man ko'g maayo kun unsa ang performance sa rig if ilisan nko'g "K" CPU... basin, mag i5-3570K lang ko for the gaming rig then i-OC... rubbing elbows man ni sya sa i7-3770K once i-OC... as of the moment, bang for the money sya between both CPU choices...

Im sure tungod na sa vram bandwidth na bro. Mas bugat man gyud ang MSAA kaysa FXAA/TXAA/SLAA/MLAA but IMO, it looks better than the others i mentioned. Kato FXAA kay most of the time mag-backfire, mosamot kabati ang image because it softens the image excessively..

Add: Try daw 8xMSAA with triple buffering off. Usually solves low minimum framerates/microstuttering for me..

In general, GTX 660 Ti </= HD7950 < HD7950 Boost. Per game those cards trade blows. Crysis 3 though an AMD Evolved game runs faster on nvidia cards based on the latest review. Don't know now with new drivers being released more than once a month. On an average gamer's POV these facts will not matter as the HD7950 is just a tier higher than the GTX 660 Ti, which mean performance difference isn't that significant so normally I'd advice to get either. But given the Powercolor which you are eyeing at is just around 10k maybe less, compared that to the 660Ti's price which is still around 13-14k, it's a no brainer.

^ yes, that's correct... given on that price @ 10K php for Power Color's HD 7950, that would be a good buy basing on the current price difference with the GTX 660 Ti in the Philippines... the PCB of that PC model @ 10k is based on the reference design (my wild guess). mura'g ang gi usab lang nila kay ang cooling system lang... but, dako nag room for OC'ing ang HD 7950... maka squeeze-out pa gyud ug performance sa GPU...

for me here, price wise, the GTX 660 Ti is still the value for the money... mahal gihapon ang AMD diri... wla gyud mo ubos...

all games will depend on the driver's optimization that will be released every now & then... we can not notice the difference on the FPS of the GTX 660 Ti and the HD 7950 during actual game play... but, our pocket does...

another thing, it would be important to choose the performance based on the current gaming resolution... buying a faster card at a resolution that the owner will not use is useless kay dili man lagi magamit... kun gamiton, aw, need ug new monitor that's capable to display such high resolutions... gasto again...
