first & foremost, dapat naa ka goal or map kung asa ka padung. unsa mn imo plan, magabroad ka eventually? or anha ra jud ka sa cebu?

next question, unsa mn imo ganahan nga specialty sa IT? daghan mn ka kapilian. naa networking, database admin, software developer, web developer, web designing, telephony, data center tech, hardware repair, & so on..daghan kaayo kapilian nga field sa IT.

another piece of advice is, once naa naka mapilian nga specialty, go ahead & get as much certifications as you can like mga CCNA, CCNP, MySQL certs, Microsoft certifications, Comptia A+, N+ or even S+ if mada nimo, daghan jud kaayo options.

maski gai sa cisco karon, naa na jud sila mga specific roles maski sa pagka CCNA lang gai..like naa na CCNA just for data center, routing & switching, voice, wireless, video & so much more.

if ever magdecide ka nga magabroad ka pohon, experience counts more than certification. of course, employers will be attracted to you if naa ka mga certifications but experience jud ang molabaw so as early as now, decide ka what field in IT ka magspecialize then apply for companies nga makaprovide ug appropriate experience nimo at the same time magkuha pud ka mga certifications along the way.

just always remember unsa mn jud imo goal or where you see yourself in 5 years. i don't mean na ma-confuse ka sa ako reply but you need to consider all these options para d na bitaw ka maglibog asa ka padung & you will be going on the right career path if you're really serious in getting a good career out of IT.
