Ang akong ma sulti, si Msgr. Dakay kay prangka nga pari. Ganahan bitaw ko maminaw sa iyang mga sermons if siya ang mag mass... Perhaps, in my practical/modern heart and mind, murag maka relate ko sa uban niya nga prinsipyo. Labi na if siya ang mag handle sa mass sa Cathedral, ganahan ko mo simba didto.

Compared sa ubang mga pari nga maayo lang sige pamadlong sa misa, pa bilib nga mao ni ang sakto buhaton, etc2x...

But even if I am pessimistic about change, I still dream of it. After all, if there is something worthwhile in viewing Pope Francis’s ways, it is that they conjure hope in many Catholics like me. Perhaps the pope can gather the courage to push the church hierarchy back to the Catholic Church’s roots.
As always human factors do affect hierarchy,
but as long as the real maxim still stands and the philosophy
is their to guide and to regulate then the formulated subtle fundamental
means to keep the church firmly functioning, then such a hindrance would
never be an obstacle at all.

We always follow the christian catholic way as what Jesus Christ inscribed
when he built and established this church. We should not let him fail
just because of some erring deeds of those who should assist in instilling
    the divine teachings.

In the end all of us will face God,
    be censured,
and would answer all the misdeeds
we've made and be punished accordingly,
    and they are not exempted.
    Keep the faith for
that is what Jesus Christ ought us to do.

mao ni ang nakaparat sa atong simbahan. Kun kinsa pa kadtong angay mohatag ug saktong
panahom o opinyon mao pa noon ang masukwahi. Nakutaw ug maayo ang mga tumutoo ning
pahayag ni dakay, gisamotan kaislag ang mga kalag nga may gianay nga pagsalig ngadto sa
simbahan. Daw nagpakaaron ingnon lamang sila sa ilang gisoot nga sutana aron limpyo
tan-awon sa mata apan pagkahugaw diay ilalom sa maong besti.

"Msgr. Achilles Dakay, Cebu Archdiocese Media Liaison Officer, clarified his earlier statement that he didn’t believe that Pope Francis rented an apartment, took the bus and cooked his meals by saying that he still does not believe that Francis rented an apartment, took the bus and cooked his meals."

With the kind of attitude displayed by Msgr. Dakay and the Pajero bishops, is there any wonder why our predominantly catholic country is also one of the most corrupt in the world? The clergy are supposed to be the guardian of the flock's moral values but for so many years now, the church leadership themselves has shown how much they value material possessions over the righteous values they preach on Sundays. How can they preach about morality and the virtue of poverty and be believed by the people? So we find the most corrupt religiously attending masses and receiving the holy communion and then proceed with their evil ways once they get back to their offices. But of course, along the way, they toss in a few hundred or thousands to appease the gods our local clergy worship and in return expect silence or even praise for the atrocities they commit against our country and people.

I have high hopes that Pope Francis, being a Jesuit and having displayed humility, kindness and a kindred spirit for the poor, will effect changes to the church. Unfortunately, the problem of corruption and moral degradation among the clergy is not as urgent a problem as pedophilia. It is up to the faithful to bring this compelling problem to the forefront so that action may be taken. We have to clamor for change, for the re-institution of the true Christian values as exemplified by the poor fisherman from Galilee. For the sake of our country and our children, we have to put the likes of Msgr. Dakay and the pajero bishops where they rightfully belong.
