Lenovo thinkpads, not the edge model. It will last you a "decade". Lol. Depende ra kung mo sukol ka sa price.

not sure with current generations but previous generations, yes... and i am one of those unlucky ones who had experience toshiba's very well known shutdown issues with their Satellite A200 series / Portege M900 series...
that was my last toshiba...i won't look back...

Samsung Series 5 akong gamit ron kadtong AMD version (NP535U3C) for personal use... sa office, Lenovo Thinkpad T400...
If I have the money, I'll probably go for Thinkpad X series... I am also pondering on trying Asus puhon2x (UX series nila)... but sexy gyud ang design sa Samsung Series 5 (labi na ang Series 9)...
For typical/general use, I think Acer is also OK and I had good experiences with it... Had 2 Acer's before, ako ng gipang baligya sa akong mga kaila (not because defective na but gusto lang ko og mas newer/more efficient hardware), and as far as I know, buhi pa karon...
