Naa may mga life insurance ya nga naay cash value, additional benefits for disabilities, dismemberment due to accident or accidentail means and annuities.

Other than that kung walay additional benefits a life insurance is collected upon the death of the insured through his beneficiaries. It's usually for the living... ma mahabilin like kids, wife or husband. Mas maayo kung naay additional benefits aron pud ug ma aksidente or ma disabled maka benefit pud ani.

Pwede ka mokuha ug life insurance sa imo parents, ikaw mobayad then pwede pud ikaw ang beneficiary. So investment gyud kaayo, daghang mga tao gagamit aning life insurance.

i totally agree with you there n`gel. ang insurance...most people think it is only when u die nga naay ma-benefit ang imo family. i am with PIONEER LIFE. we have insurance options that will benefit you while YOU ARE STILL LIVING.

my dad used to work in the pre-need industry before and during its heyday. i remember in the early to mid 70's...ang mga pinoy ayaw talga bumili ng MEMORIAL PLAN. sabi nila it is equivalent to a curse (tunglo?) if you buy one. what they didnt realize is that aside from...let's be blunt here...a casket...the family also gets some money to tide them over for a while. now...kung mamatay ka..padre de pamilya...tapos wala kang memorial plan...you leave your family with the stress of having to haggle with the mortuaries for the price of a decent casket tapos MAHAAALLL kaau ang AT-NEED nga casket...so what happens? usually titipirin ka na lang kay tutal patay na bitaw ka. (with a memorial plan u get to CHOOSE your own casket. masaya noh?)

but...if u have a memorial plan...all the family has to do lang gud when the planholder dies is to call the company and even ang death certificate mutabang sad sila. giving the family less stress...giving the family the time to grieve.

baket kamo mention ko ito? kasi the same ignorance na prevailent then with regard to memorial plans...is the same still ignorance that many many people have about insurance. they think that it is not important to buy one kasi...HINDI PRIORITY. or that...insurance is for the rich nga daming extra money...naku! eh kung gamay lang imo money...dapat jud kuha ka kahit papaano. LALO NA IF YOU ARE THE BREADWINNER.

iba-iba ang insurance options na available....di lahat dagko ug premiums. for example lang...sa pioneer dunay term insurance nga VERY AFFORDABLE. for example...ako nga 35 years old (halaaaa ibuking ang age. hahahaha), for just 5000p a year or 1250p every 3 months, i get maximum coverage of 3,590,000. yes...you read that right... MILLION. tapos kung mas bata ka...mas malaki ang coverage!

this option has no cash benefits attached to it...and it is temporary lang...5 years ang coverage...BUT...it is maximum coverage for minimum pay-out. suits my pocket...plus..meron ako maiiwan sa anak ko IN CASE something happens to me. then later on...when i can afford it better...i can convert the same plan partially muna into a participating plan wherein i can start earning dividends na. di ba practical?

i beg to disagree sistah. if you can buy a cellphone that costs 10T and above...and DOES NOT EARN anything...instead...continues to drain u of money due to load and bills....FIND THE SPARE CASH to buy yourself the barest minimum insurance... surely an extra 500 a month meron ka makikita for sure.

all 3 of us in the family have life insurances. importante gyud coz you'll never know what could happen. my husband have at least 5 including disability, unemployment and that mortgage thingy where the house will be paid off if he passed away (knock on wood). he made sure we'll have enough just in case kay lisod na baya ang panahon ron kon single parent ka. our son got at least 2 for now, one is a life insurance that comes with an investment that gets interests, so when he goes to college he can take out some money from that. and i have a term life insurance.
good idea gyud na and while you're at it make sure you have a will or a family trust ready also.

Life insurance etc. is something people do not think about. It is important for the loved-ones left behind so that when you go, you wont leave them with the burden of where to get funds to even spend for your funeral expenses and its good at least you are already taking care of things especially when you have kids who might be left behind. Also important that with you life insurance you take care of your living will so in case anything happens to you, the division of properties or monies is legally smooth sailing and nobody in the family fights over it. Para well prepared and smooth sailing tanan.
