naka hinumdum ko ron, sa Apple ni na case. they have one PMU (power management unit) IC supplier on their 1st Apple iphone na only caters to support them. it is a small company in terms of headcount but, its is a subsidiary from mercedes-benz... wala sila mo venture to support other company except Apple... no news nko unsa update sa ato na company ron... naka hibaw lang ko kay ang isa sa sales director nmo diri sauna kay gikan man sya'g Qualcom... sya ang nag sulti nmo dri... in short, competitor to namo na design house company sa mga PMU ICs...

they are not in the GPU business pe se bro... their implementation is only on-die... either on the chip set (as of the previous generation) as well as on the CPU itself... the main intent of the on-board graphics (specially intel's) is for general computing and not gaming. not like AMD's offering... it is geared towards light to mild gaming per se...

if the "Blue" will go into the competition with the "Green" and the "Red" on the GPU business, for sure they can... they can hire IP (Intellectual Property, that is people... to do the design) but they opted not to as of today but we don't know if they will in the coming future...

    Then they're making more n more of these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgln4N_xxyI . . .
then there's this rumor Intel 'preparing' to put an end to user-replaceable CPUs | ZDNet..
don't know where they're heading but it's gonna be sad..

^ if they will do it... then, welcome AMD... hehehe... in reality, Intel will not abandon the DIY market segment... they have a big market share in this area. if they will push on to implement the rumor, then, AMD could capitalize on the abandon market...
