hi mga sis...
we got married here in cebu in April 2005...newbie pa mi sa akong bana diri ato nga time so we did our own wedding preps... since we both are not from cebu pud our guests flew in from manila(where my hubby's from) and davao(where i'm from) pa...
we had our wedding ceremony at sto. nino village's chapel and our reception at maribago bluewater resort... for about 110 pax, we spent around P250k. the bulk of our costs went to food jud. altho nakatabang pud nga maribago included in our package the ff: wedding cake, table arrangements, bridal car, overnight stay at the manager's room (on the island itself)...
next to photo and video... on the retrospect, we probably could have saved on this if we opted for digital photography. nag-conventional photography man gud mi ani. so mahal jud.
then to invites and giveaways... our invites were made by Paperworks...message in a bottle sha. i customized our layout and also inserted a list of hotels with the rates and inclusions for our out-of-town guests.
next to entourage clothes...my husband and i sponsored all of our entourage attires. 14 kabuok. had it made by Protacio.
then to entertainment... we hired the CNU choir for our wedding mass, and the Burning Culture (tong wala pa sila nag-disband) for our reggae reception music..we also rented additional sound system para mas nindot ila sound... wala jud mi nagmahay ani kay everybody kicked their shoes and enjoyed dancing.
anyway sis, to cut the long story short... it's up to you what you prioritize man jud for your wedding. basta identify what you NEED to have and then what you WANT to have... dayon, diha na ka mag-identify sa costs for your budget.
you don't really need a wedding coordinator...gamay ra man ang cebu... plus if you have a lot of support going on around you, it will be sooo much fun doing the preps yourself. test na for you and your husband's first big ticket expense. hehe
congrats to all who are about to get married and enjoy your preps!
will be happy to answer any questions or concerns.
