naa jd na ang d mgka gustohay sa batasan..pro kng halos kamo tnan ky lainan jd sa batasan sa isa ka member aw lahi na sd na.. pro pra nko lng, ms nindot cguro kng mg sturyaanay ug tarong bsan pa mg kickout mo ug member pra mg sinabtanay pd bah..nya mka sabot sd xa ngano inyo na gi buhat niya..pra at least kng mka sud mn gni xa ug lain banda ky mka learn na xa s iyng mga mistakes..

I've done my fair share of axing band members and I've been axed myself.

For me, it basically boils down to the group's outlook. Is this is a social/friendship thing? Or a business thing?

A vocalist and I were axed because previous band members came back. However, there was no formal business arrangement so I think the band was well within their "legal" rights to change members at anytime. Of course, we felt bad, but in the end, we were all mature about it and everyone ended up being friends. Such is the nature of this 'biz. It was a blessing in disguise because if I wasn't axed, I'd still be where that band is today and I've traveled much farther.

On the other hand, it's really strange that people are absolutely averse to signing contracts and then whine about being kicked out. Contracts worth both ways. They protect you and the band. Sadly, most band people I encounter just want the freedom to leave anytime but don't grant the freedom to be kicked out at anytime.

for my part, i kicked out 2 of my band members, the rhythm guitarist and drummer.. for some attitude, talent/ability issues they got.. big headed na kaayo sila bisag noob pa kaayo.. the bad part is that the rhythm guitarist text me about letting me leave the band and make my own band and letting them carry the band's name.. giahakz ayo.. ako naghimo sa banda ug nagpangalan, ngano ako may pahawaon..

if the nature of the band that you are into of course with your knowledge will eventually become a business/profession then you are bound to follow the basic rules of a business. otherwise people will get dissapointed.
so kung mo tirik imong banda kay wala ka kaapas sa standard sa imong grupo... expect something bad. ayaw na lang ka tingala na ma patiran imong lubot.
