I actually forgot one, it's hard to remember because it STILL doesn't have a name, only known as 2007 OR10 (unofficially as "Snow White" which brings a chuckle, because of the term "dwarf" planets).

rodsky: so "Snow White" and the other 9 "dwarf" planets, eh?

bai, im just curious.. .how do they find planets outside our solar system?
13 planets and counting.. i hope someday hopefully in our lifetimes, that we can be able to explore and inhabit these planets
kahinumdum ko sa elementary na kung masipyat ka about pila ka planets sayop jud ka... now, with all the right tools... we are discovering more than what we have learned way back in high school... as time progresses, eventually we will discover more things, like the five types of matter which was limited to 3 back then...i just hope that our present educators would see this as a wake up call and be as open minded since we are still discovering more and sometimes even negate some ideas in the past..discoveries...inventions.... innovations are endless.....though to prevent confusion they have to set some standards yet mindful enough not to limit their teachings to what is stated in the books especially that the access to vast information is just a click a way...
: wew salamat sa info t.s. nice nice.. ill read more about this

Very helpful information.

For me, all of them (including earth) are remains of a colossal explosion during the birth of the sun. Rightly to be called planet because of some elements or composition or even size would be of consideration to be called so. Beyond the solar system lies a vast formation of rock and debris. Eris and Pluto are among them. For me, It's good to know them and name them in class or recital in all found planets or rock (not just the 8 planets) in our solar system. There is no right minus wrong in naming them because science is not a fixed thought. Science is current and changes over time. So keep our opened to any possibilities that can be found in the future.
