depends on actually what you are pertaining to.

reference describes different things, and it means stock configuration of the card.
there is:
reference clocks: search for the original release of the card and see what config the clocks are in
reference cooler: the original blower design buy nvidia or ATi which usually are blowers
reference pcb: most cards of the same model have same pcb but with slight modifications like dual/single pci power. etc.

so just google the original release of your card either from nvidia or ATi and compare specs looks etc.

depende ra gyd na sa user brad kung unsa man iya gamiton....kung into watercooling ka then go for ref design....
