sakto na sad sa edad elementary sige na ko paminaw new wave acts like depeche mode, tears for fears, american newave like information society, siyempre the dawn ug glam i was in Manila back then... pag highschool transfer na man ko cebu first time gyud to nako tan-aw sa mga local bands pag showground, some bands like lloyd of fivez nakainspire sad nako nga mogitik ug gitara kay standby man ko pirmi sa mabolo from there on I met several bands from different genre PG18, Freak, Antonios Madness, Blowgrass etc. Those were the days... I did bought several local albums Frank! (My brother lost my tape), Tsk!Tsk!Tsk(Bought 2 albums, really my favorite band), showground(unforgettable moment), Freak (they gave me a copy from the start drinking buddies ni nako sila), Skunky Muggles (They gave me a copy I helped them in some of their artworks with arciemon and they are a friend too), Abyss(ako pa gipapirmahan ako copy hehehe) and some compilations, Jr. Kilat sad gihulman ako album wala mauli. I really dig those albums original dili pirated basta worth listening

FRANK - bilib kaayo ko sa sound aning mga tawhana.. way daghang arte pero pahimutang kaayo pagka himo
SATI - katung una nga album, Housemartins kaayo
VAGRANT - old school grunge act
URBAN DUB - ganahan kos guitar works nila.. pina airy effect
IMPORT:
THE SMITHS - all time fave band.. best guitarist ever para nako
THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN - pinaka attitude nga banda sa tanan ..
RUSH - Best power trio - a 3 man orchestra.
THE WILD SWANS, CARE - gamay ra silag gi release pero puros nindot .. sagol nakong duha kay preha rag frontman, preha ug songwriter, unya preha ra sab ang sound nila
TOOL and A PERFECT CIRCLE - sagol lang nako ning duha although they're 2 different bands.. different sounds pero they share the same frontman.
