Thank you. MySQL is very well known in every web hosting even with my client, suggested using MySQL. It depends on how it is being configured by the database admin or the programmer itself to protect the systems.

Our back-end (database) is using Linux platform so we can configure our own script to protect the back-end.

Don't misunderstand me, I am also not in favor of MySQL since, for me, there are some functionalities that it lacks. I would opt to use either MSSQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL for my database engine. But, just like I said the database engine is only one part of the whole system and saying that the system is not secure based on just one component is a biased judgement.

Depende na sa developer unsa iya database, most probably mao ni gigamit nako kay mao sad ni request sa ako client na MySQL console ipa gamit. Maka prevent man ka SQL injection ug whatever mode sa hacker sa MySQL through sa script. MSSQL mas dali pana ma hack iya admin kaysa MySQL, try na nako na gikan pa sa 2000 version hangtud karon bag-o nya na 2008, wala pa nako sulayi ang Oracle ug penetrate ug MSSQL 2012. Ako nakit-an na maayo performance ang PostgreSql kaysa MySQL, faster cya.

Usually ako client dili gyud mo prefer ug MSSQL and Oracle kay mahal, mo gasto pa cla ug add-on. Ang ila ipalit ug database ug ila pa ipuno sa ako bayad mas maayo pa.

secondly, never man sad ko mo gamit ug xampp, wampp or any other GUI tools sa MySql, terminal man akoa. including sa hosting nya linux gyud ako platform.
