bitaw, what made you say so? diba they are among of the stable insurance companies nowadays. Accdg. to my sibling and her fellow acquaintances, sunlife daw ang top 1. I don't know how true because most of the insurance companies claim that are the best or they offer the best products and that what made it confusing. of course, who will try to pull down their own.
yeah, this is a good idea pero labad sad sa ulo when you so many options. if naa lang unta toy table with comparison sa tanan insurance companies, mas dali2x siguro mka-decide... pero similar with banks, each has its own sets of products and services offered that nga somehow better than others like in terms of office hours, BDO has an edge due to 6pm closing time of outside mall branches and 7pm inside the mall. BPI has no interbranch charge on deposit all over the Philippines unlike most banks has regional depoosit charge. Citibank offers free of charge on remittance whenever you are qualified to a certain type of account and they are open Tuesday thru Saturdays (outside mall office... I don't know there are branches inside the mall though). That are some of numerous examples of what made a certain bank useful according to our needs just like what @BatmenBeyond mentioned below. It depends on our needs and priorities in life.
What we want is something that could cater 3-in-1 or "all"-in-one services such that it's a total package wherein you have life insurance, variable health insurance at the same time could be a retirement "savings"/ investment.
But according to some of the financial advisers have said, it would be better to take merely the term life insurance if your purpose is to get a life insurance. Separate the investment side because you can get higher returns whenever you invest it directly to stock market or mutual funds or the like.
hmmm
Actually, there are different barometers why some of the notable insurance companies are claiming that they are no. 1, to wit, based on net worth, premium income, etc. You may do your own research to see if it's really true or not. I myself will proudly tell that we are 2nd or 3rd if it's really true as of the given date or in that area.
Having 3-in-1 package is really good. This answers your needs in just one instrument and less hassle on your part. Though most of the advisers said that it is better to have a term insurance, it depends actually on your knowledge/orientation/time/commitment to stock market, mutual funds, businesses, etc.
The thought here really depends on your financial priorities in life and choose the vehicle that suits it best.

So it would really depend on the "investor" or client's priorities and capacity of handling such an "investment/insurance/ product". If we don't have the luxury of time to monitor the rates, then much better to take the 3-in-1 nalang jud. ky kapoy sige monitor and naa juy time busy na. thank you.
You're absolutely right Bro. Also remember Ninong Buffet's famous quote, "Don't put your eggs in one basket". You must diversify your investments but not to the point to diworsefy them.
MK is right that all factors, not just one, must be considered in choosing your insurance company. Others in fact have 2 different insurance companies and there are some that have more than 1 policies as well.
No problem Bro, our pleasure to share what we know.
