for bayanihan linux its wat they call the official(ahehe since it is supported by ASTI) linux distro of philippines www.bayanihan.gov.ph

for the pnut project its not really a pure philippine OS but some contributors to that OS are filipinos .. and last time ive heard is that they are looking for some developers who have bunch of time email this guy he can help you more ... clintcan@yahoo.com ... dont worry his a frenly cebuano

I really didn't know anything about problem statements in this kind of proposal. I'm just an average programmer that's good in sales & promotion. That's why i opened this thread for someone out there that would like to start-up this proposal. U know... the knows & the hows.

The way you describe yourself as marketing/promotional from your first post, I had the feeling that you are only go for money (like most sales people do). Now it's confirmed that you are only motivated for BIG bucks.

Tip: The principle is basic in marketing: create a demand.

Think an application that will applies to you and i am sure there are people will need it soon when they realize that your application is very helpful and usable for them.

He's right... That's what Im thinking about you also. Better concentrate on contributing for Linux. That's for all of us..... For our country We have bayanihan Linux already.... Think of another proposal without thinking the return of investment involving money.... If you like to continue with your proposal, document first and state everything and your purpose especially the statement of the problem and statistics that justifies the problem........

It's great that you come up with these idea. I thought about this too. The main idea is to have our own OS right?

These needs a lot of thorough research. If we try to create this stuff we really need some high-level skills. OS is the most complicated software as far I know and I hope you agree. So taking this challenge is very difficult but is worth a try.

You may form a research group. This maybe just a volunteer group who will spend just a few time to find out what to do with this project. I know it's hard to fund this kind of project because as you can see many disagree with your proposal.

They are right about the open source LINUX, which can be modified to your preferrence. You may base the new OS on LINUX architecture.
