Mag EE or ECE?

Peace Everyone.......Im a REE but I wont say EE is greater than ECE or ME, etc. It depends unsay trip sa taw. Arguing which is better is like Jordan and Nadal arguing between basketball and tennis.

1.) Engineers are very dynamic and it is very rare to find a work that is strictly EE or ECE. For example, most of the graduates even the licensed works as Safety Engineer, Production Engineer, etc. One could only know which specific field he would be a master only after graduating and working.

2.)Comparison, EE is Electrical Engineering while ECE is Electronics and Communication Engineering. In history, ECE was just a branch of EE, but due to rise of technology, a more specific field was made and that is them. Even ECE is evolving as we speak, it is already planned to be divided into Electronics Engineering and Communications Engineering. By their name themselves, surely you could understand what are their difference.

3.)Tanan curso lisud! Labi na kong dili nimo trip imong gi-tun-an..... Ingon nila mas lisod ang EE kay imba kaau og Math, ingon sila lisod ang ME kay marka-boang ang thermo.... Watch og 3idiots pra makahibaw ka sa life...hehhehehehehe

4.)I graduated in CTU....I wont say its the best.....but I'm an Engineer now(ok nana nga proof sa amo school)

5.)20+K mn dw uban school per sem, la pa labot projects og dota..... sa amo 6k rmn to pag sugod, dn 4k+ nlng pag 4th year,,,,,

6.) Work is everywhere.......dili lisod ang pangitag trabaho...ang pagpili ang lisod.....

7.) depende ra ang sweldo.....some starts at "minimum"....yes licensed engineer pero minimum ra sweldo.....but naa pod uban mo drtso lapas 15k even 20k....depende sa imo skill manabi og connections.....kng aboitez ka, ahw drtso naka sa VECo...hahahahhaha

Why did I said that? I am a compe graduate but I worked as production engr in one of largest company here in Cebu. As I observed, gi laay ko sa work, learning is not fast paced, process always the same. Wa sad ko ng expect ingun ani diay. Now I quit that job and back to software engineering.

Sa tinuod, ang Production Engineer boring jud ang trabaho. Dili man na pang ME nga work. Pang IE man na or general engineering nga work.

If naa ka sa oil and gas, or power generation and transmission, malingaw jud ka sa trabaho. Although naay time jud nga ma bored ka sa imong work kay routinary ra and balik2x if naa ka sa operation. Depende rana sa engineer if mag self study or mag kat on siya ug lain field.

But okay raman if routinary or even naay time boring ang work. Basta dako langka ug sweldo. Kaysa challenge ang work pero gamay ra kaayo ug sweldo or dili ka kontento.

CompE man gud ka boss... mao dili ka maka appreciate sa among course. and bisan dehado gamay, love your own baya ang mentality sa mga tao... So I understand your side.

Wala man gud ko nag base sa akong pride or personal opinion. Ato man gud nang makita sa present industry karon. I know nindot ug training and educational background ang mga CompE, especially sa USCTC. Pero ig graduate, medyo lisod pangita ug work nga fit jud sa imong profession. If naa man gani, medyo challenging pod kay daghan raba mga maayong laki nga CompE/IT professionals.

Besides, moabot nag time, mangita jud tag mas sayon nga trabaho ug mas dako nga sweldo... Moabot kag 30 up ang atong idad. Labi na sa mga naanay pamilya, mas nindot jud nang ig pauli nimo sa balay, wala nakay huna hunaon nga labad sa imong trabaho.

dako kaayo akong appreciation aning ME or EE boss. na misconcept lang nimo ako ipasabot. I've been working in instrumentation before in my training days and makita jud nko di lalim labi naa ka sa field ug naay trouble sa equipment nya gi ihap ang downtime. Pressured kaayo ingun ani na situation plus ang hazard pa, physical stress. kabulingit pa mgka lisud. A "man's" work jud ni na field. Ni maneuver lang ko sa akong career kay medyo lisud ang hierarchy sa company.

physical stress og naa ka sa operation or maintenance pero og naa ka sa RD usually naa raka sa office ng work so more on planning and design ka rather than field works so mental stress possible ana.

Depende ra pud ghapon nimo og ganahan ka mag aswat og kamang dha sa office.

If naay intersection sa EE and ECE in terms of voltage/current topics, mas naay edge ang ECE in terms of Communications Engineering kay mao man na ang focus sa training nila. But again depende rana gihapon sa swerte swerte ug diskarte ang panarbaho. Engineers do innovate a lot bisan unsa pa imo field,you yourself must have a chosen field kung asa ka tan aw nimo mas mu excel ka.

daghan ko kaila ME but working as HR.
EE pero as safety engineer. ECE pero naa sa barko.

depende ra na how you make yourself competetive...
