bro para nq kai mas maau 240gb lng, dli ka maka AHCI mode bsta mag raid0. dali mashorten ang life span sa imng ssd. and anways sa benchmark rana makita ang dagko nga gaps. in real world grabeh paspas na kaau ang 120gb gani..

on the pc platform, RAID is a superset of AHCI. meaning, when you're on RAID, you get the benefits that you get on AHCI

I think what you ment is TRIM not AHCI, theres no need for TRIM its only for older SSD's that do not have garbage collection, TRIM is OS based while 'garbage collection' is controller based.

wala koy lingaw krn gabhiona, mao naka huna2 q aq kaha ni e benchmark akng ssd sa(Ocz Vertex 3 120gb).. 1wik kapin nani nq pero wapa nq jud na benchmark.. and here goes the results .. unsay inyong makasulti sa result mga masters? oki ra?

the goal of this thread is to compare ssd write/read speed base jud sa atong mga acquired ssd. para mabaw,an jud asay paspas hihi, kai mostly sa mga reviews gud katong mga bag.o pa nigawas ang ssd nya old firmware pa.

also this could serve as reference for other istoryan members who are planning to buy one..

OCZ claimed that Ocz vertex 3 using(ATTO benchmark): 120GB Max Performance
Max Read: up to 550MB/s
Max Write: up to 500MB/s
Random Write 4KB: 60,000 IOPS
Maximum 4K Random Write: 85,000 IOPS



as you can see on the screenshots, base on ATTO benchmark on the right:
Write speed: 516.222 mb/s
Read speed: 522.502 mb/s
also base on screenshot from the left, using crystal disk mark:
Write speed: 495 mb/s
Read speed: 511.8 mb/s

Comments, i've read reviews about this ssd. and I was happy to say nga mas paspas akng benchmark results compared to reviews, i think one of the reason is kai mas newer akng firmware version.. usually ang mga benchmark results sa reviews kai kato man gud bag.o pa girelease ang ssd. its hard to find benchmark results using new firmwares nga gi release s manufacturer.

uu trim d i akng pasavot, hahaha... mao bah krn paq kbaw nga ok ra nga dli naka trim, naa man gud sa website sa ocz ug sa laing website sa mga ssd manufacturers, asta sad sa mobo manufacturers,, recommended AHCI for trim ug dapat naka hotplug...

SSD owner here, pero 40gb ra kay mahal kaayo. paspas jd kaayo boot ako PC, wa abti ug 30seconds cguro.
