i dont really agree to "it all boils down to the owner".. regarding maintenance.

i had a honda xrm 110 and a lifan "wave alpha" look 110. (amo gikuhaan ug motor amo driver but nihawa mao ako nalang gi gamit2x)

same style of usage, same maintenance, almost the same age (2 months older ang xrm)

well, its just my experience. maybe lahi sad inyo.

china bikes, a big NO MORE for me!

if you can afford bisan utang, japanese nalang...
    had a china-made bike pod sauna...sold it...
pero pagka-baligya ato, kondisyon pa gyud...
apart from the speedometer cable nga gi-tuyok nalang nako tanang china-motorshops, wa gyuy parehas kay bale ang traha...
na-ilisan na ang stator within 2years sa pagkuha...

TS, naa gyud tuod na sa mambaling nga design...sila man sad nang tindahana nga gikan sa kinasang-an sauna...balihin sila kay mingaw daw diri dapita...

Low or high maintenance it's all about how you care on your bike.. ug tapulan ka mo atiman ug motor (sama nako ron) then go for japs bike.

Now, ngano gipa repo sa mga owners ang mga ingon ana nga bike? Simple answer is because of lack of quality and reliability.

You know, kani nga mga bikes nindot tan-awon kung bago pa pero less than a year bai madunot na imong motor because low quality man ang gamit nga plastic ug materials. Mas maayo pa nga mo kuha nalang ka ug quality nga motorcycle kaysa ma sayang imong downpayment sa motor nga dali ra mo deteriorate.
mao sad lagi bro, ako sa gyung gitimbang timbang kung unsa gyuy pinakabug-at nga disadvantages ani nganong naay daghang repo ani sa talisay, though some said that the fuel efficiency is only 45-46 Kilometers per liter, the tires wear easily because of the small diameter, but in my mind i can easily double the fuel efficiency by just making it a high gearing ratio, about the tires, I think the wider the diameter the better traction on the road so meaning safety gamay though safety comes with a price (1200 php each tire), the only questionable part na lang nako ani is the engine, pero akong gisukit-sukit ang sales person ingon sila dili kuno dali mu-aso (bias) ohh really?, are you sure? what if it`ll smoke on me in less than a year? will you carry a warranty out of it? can you compete the reliability on the japanese made bikes on the engine side? mao ni pinakadako nga question na lang nako...

Naa kuno silay parts ani tanan bro, naa sa mandaue dapit sa metrobank, gikan kuno sa mga bolt ug nut nga pinakagagmay hantud sa circlips sa makina (Tip-to-Toe) suruyon bitaw nya nako kay naa koy gika ibgan nga accessory ani, ang ilang KM/H odometer panel digital na tanan (pulser type), plano nako i-convert akong existing KMX 125 into a digital panel hehehe igat!!!

basta maayo pagka atiman, ur bike wont let you down...

regarding quality. bisan asa pana made ma china or japan. ampingan jd na pag ayo basta giganahan jd ka sa imong motor.

unsaon man tanang motor nga nindot og quality pero di jd ka ganahan? dba?
Mao sad bro though naay laing alternative kung mas mu prefer ko ug japanese bike, NO.1 buy a suzuki raider 150 then buy the wide butterfly for the front shocks(NSR 150), buy the 13 inch wheel set(NSR 150), buy the projector headlight assembly (NSR 150) then voila!!! naa na koy ingon ani nga japanese version hehehe, so more or less 80K for the raider + 25-30k for the mods
