Now i kn0w why there was n0 tsunami happened on that kind of intensity.. Diba As we heard, an 8.6 earthquake hit Indonesia followed by an 8.2 aftershock...The magnitude isn't that far apart from what it was back in 2004 when a tsunami struck... SO, now why TSUNAMI did not happened?

According to an Earthquake researcher in Indonesia there are 3 rule so a big Tsunami may happen, that is how big the earthquake is, how deep the earthquake is, and the horizontal movement of the plate. He announced to the media that the earthquake happened several days ago in Indonesia is an Intraplate earthquake meanwhile Aceh 2004 earthquake is an Interplate earthquake...

And yes Imao, Tsunamis are caused by earthquakes under the ocean. If the earthquake is centered on land there's much less of a chance of a tsunami. Some earthquakes cause the sea floor to drop several feet, and that causes a big wave...
