stockings- to wear or not to wear?

Stockings is a must in the USA, all year round especially if you work in an office like me and always on the go. I 'm used to it. Not in the Philippines its too hot.

And I always follow trends too just mildly what looks okay for me and the trend is towards colorful leggings mostly footless, long knee hi's in colorful prints and patterns, and leg warmers. There's some of these leggings with really cute big pom poms dangling on them and even on boots. They're fun to wear.

there's a difference between stockings and pantyhose... stockings come in 2 pieces and are usually just up to the thigh. pantyhose are basically stockings attacched to a panty. the panty helps to keep the stockings up. if you do wear just stockings, you'll need a garterbelt or clip them to like a corset/teddy with garters to keep them up. material is just the same... tights are basically thick stockings/pantyhose. leggings are pantyhose with the feet cut off... i dont find legging that sexy on a girl...

lol, hey you seem to know more than me. I have some of those cut up stockings that you hook up garter belts with but its cold and I want to be covered para dili mosakit akong tiyan sa tugnaw, hehehe Tights come in two kinds. All the way to the waistline and footed and the footless kind. the footless kind is the trend. While pantyhose comes also in different kinds - sheer to the waist, control top, reinforced toe, day sheer and action pantyhose that also massages your legs while you walk, all kinds. I just buy the regular kind Nude or Off Black. But when i wear sandals and step ins, no hoses required cause it gets slippery when you walk. Its interesting that you know so much women stuff that's good.

i sometimes wear leggings under my jeans when i travel (reason, dali ra ko tugnawon). so when i'm sleeping (on board a ship or a bus) it feels as though i am in my pajamas.

i do not like the idea of leggings worn underneath a short skirt. it cuts you off into a lot of lines it tends to be very confusing to look at. the picture on the right posted by sorrowful_rice looks good because instead of a short skirt, the woman is wearing a long blouse that gives off a soft look; it doesn't leave you disoriented. hehe. i personally think short skirts would be better paired with stockings (not leggings). a nice color would be black.

at home i usually wear shorts over a pair of leggings. i am thinking of jogging wearing the same attire; i've seen wall climbers in this attire too and not only does it feel comfortable and look sexy, it also allows them a lot of room for movement.

not much of a fashionista but i have to say pantyhose, stockings and leggings are great inventions for women!

..I used to wear pantyhose stockings at bed during my teen years kay ingun ni mommy maka lessen sa varicose. It looks formal and neat for those wearing it sa trabaho. In some ways oks raman pud na sa Pilipinas it served as fashion statement pero sad to say naa jud uban ended up being a fashion victim.

Its winter here at where im at (China) hasol baya kaayu pero kinahanglan jud. Ang fashion or trend is second nlang sa purpose.

Luthienne, yes i agree its a necessity for women for me just like socks. I cant go to sleep not even layering my legs with leggings and socks underneath pa sa blanket especially winter cause its really cold here. I have 3 drawerful of hoses, leggings and socks alone i wear them every day and for sleeping too. Can't do without them.

Shofu, i bet china is cold during winter and I know Chinese people love those hoses and leggings much so like japanese. They also started the trend on leg warmers over leggings and they carry it well they know how to accessorize. You can still be trendy and warm at the same time wearing them naa ra na sa imong pag coordinate so warm leggings on top of being a necessity is also fun to wear.

question lang, how does stockings prevent/lessen varicose veins? i am awful scared of varicose veins.

I am not sure how stockings can prevent varicose veins. May na lang wa ko varicose veins otherwise ilhan kaayo kay puti ko. Luthiene try kuno searching the internet about it kung unsay cause. That will be good to know.
