Why not try BOHOL? Daghan kaayo SCUBA DIVING SPOTS sa PANGLAO BOHOL. I was able to dived there. Beautiful CORAL REEFS. Just go to ALONA BEACH, PANGLAO BOHOL marami Diving Resorts didto. They have lessons for beginners, diving packages for intermediate and advance scuba divers. Most resorts in ALONA BEACH offer packages to dive in beautiful diving spots in BALICASAG ISLAND and PAMILACAN ISLAND. There are around 15-18 diving spots in PANGLAO ISLAND.

ok, pardon my ignorance but im gonna ask again..is ther any nightlife in malapascua , i assume its a real quite island and not touristy so how is it at night? my friend is interested in a little bit of life after dark but definitely not the boracay kind of scene . Maybe just a place to chill out with some music and drinks i suppose.

There's Maldito and SunSplash and the floating bar right in front of Cocobana. Exotic Dive Resort also has a good resto-bar where you can hang out. The night scene is not as wild as Boracay's, but it's getting there. They say Malapascua was what Boracay was 20 years ago...

In Mactan, Hilutungan Marine Sanctuary for the pelagics and Nalusuan Island for the blue-spotted stingrays. There's also this little known secret dive spot called Tinggo. Haven't been to that but based on what I've heard you get to see the elusive Thresher Sharks

In Malapascua, there's Monad Shoal famous for the Thresher Sharks and Gato Island--Nice sandy slope and sightings of White Tip sharks.

How is it? Do you dive there for the coral formations or the pelagics? Are there still guaranteed shark sightings there and how does it fare compared to Bohol?
