Siquijor: La Isla del Fuego

I am not sure whether it was shown on TV.

My job in that doc was only as film editor. It was done by another company. And, oh yes, Siquijor was known in the olden days as Isla del Fuego or Island of Fire, correctly so, because of the abundant fireflies. The doc also dwelt in that for quite a time. Then there was also bolo-bolo which you may want to try for some exotic relief to your colds, asthma, etc.

I am from here, darling. But I travel a lot and have seen the world many times over. I have even been to Siquijor's majestic cathedral caves and saw unbelievable rock formations all in their pink condition. In the film, we were also able to show unique Siquijidnon beauties, so far unbeatable by other beauties elsewhere. I have also been to a mountain called "Buko-buko sa Buaya" and took footages of the damage done there by a mining company, I heard Taiwanese.

I will get back to Siquijor when it is lanzones time. If you have seen Raul Silos' classic "Biyaya ng Lupa", you would immediately know that lanzones are not only grown in that film's location. It is also in Siquijor. The Daniels of Siquijor are close family friends. They are not only impeccable hosts; they are also guides and porters of tons of camera/lighting equipment.

blongkoy: i think lanzones time was last month(june) cz i hve a friend in there who owns an acre of land with full of lanzones and she said that june is the month of harvesting lanzones...daniel family??i hve lots of friends in there who are daniels...
