    our being behind in the science frontier already suggested something wrong with our educational system years back. however, this recent deliberate move to restructure the educational curriculum and remove science suggests that this is not just a matter of a government clueless of the developmental needs of its people, but a government that intends to shape the thinking and mindset of its young citizens to be mere workers to be exported for dollar remittance.

    as it now turns out, the issue of striking down science classes is just an outgrowth of a larger socio-political problem which spans different sectors, and not just those involved in education.
