i agree..for me heaven is a state. but then again whether there is really a heaven or a hell, what matters is doin good not just for the sole purpose of preparing oneself for the ultimate destination, but doin good because that's what's right.

- the priest asked "what is heaven?" and i jokingly replied "kanang makakita ko sa akong crush father mao na nga time ma feel nako ang HEAVEN." and there was a bit of laughter in the room... then he said "you have a point mr" that in order to achieve heaven we have to spread the core of Jesus's mission on earth that is to spread LOVE. that if everyone love each other there is no reason for hate, envy, deceit, greed, etc to prevail among us. that in order to spread LOVE it has to start within you... that heaven begins with you.
.. then further explains that there is no such place like HEAVEN where people go after they die... it's only a metaphor so people during the early days can understand... but it seems that up to now a lot of us can not grasp the idea or dont want the idea--- maybe thats the reason why he said it has to be carefully opened to the members of the church.

Correct. Christian theology states that if you Believe you are saved... but ultimately one who believes also has to Live it by doing what is right (not because he wants to be rewarded, but because it is the right thing to do), and ultimately this too will merit the completion of his salvation.

The apostle John also writes that one who does not live according to what is right is tantamount someone who does not Believe.

that depends on how what is supposed to understand Heaven. It is a State they said, but to say that it doesnt exist is rather preposterous.
