Well.. if that's the case.. I'd go for Michael Jordan.
You also have to consider the competition way back then.... is the level of play as high as it is today?

Why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?
of course not the same level bec it keeps on changing everytime.the level of play before cant be compared nowadays but can be change.thats why lots of players now are better coz they know how to change the style of game based on our legends, right.but il go wid u Michael Jordan is the best shooter
To be "MORE SPECIFIC" here's my little list:
Clutch Shooters - Michael Jordan and Jerry West
Free Throw Shooters - Mark Price and Rick Barry
3 Points Shooters - Steve Kerr and Larry Bird
Players' of today's generation are taller, stronger, and more athletic, and more scientific in terms of how they play the game. Before, you seldom see a seven footer (before average height of a center is only 6-10). Unlike today you see a seven footer forwards (Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, etc.) and who knows, there may come a time that we see a seven footer guards and an eight footer centers. Before game-plays are very simple and basic basketball fundamentals...Today, on the aspect of coaching, coaches themselves have developed a sound, scientific and effecient plays and strategies and still improving and evolving.

When you say great shooters, i can only think of the Celtics. Back in the old days, it was Larry Bird. But today, its Paul Pierce.
