the catholic church is as usual frightened to lose their control on the people. PRO CHOICE ko..We haev the right to our own choice..The church are just guarding there own interests...They are just taking an advantage of the situation..Like any good general in battle. Atack your oponent at its weakst and right now GMA is dfending attacks on all fronts. mainly the political and moral and personal. Each side trying to gain and avantage over the other. These people can't even work together since they have a common enemy. That is because ecah of these groups have there own personal agenda. The catholic church are just diverting attention from all of the scandals they are facing. They are rapidly loosing credebility in the eyes of the filipino people. They should stick to what they do best and that is guide the people sprititually and leave the politics to politicians.

That is impossible! Once you deal with people, church included, there is or that is politics.

More unsubstantiated claims. The Church has been at the forefront of defending our rights. The fact that you can even have this forum is in great part due to the efforts of the Church in bringing down the corrupt and immoral Marcos dictatorship. As usual, you mistake irresponsibility for freedom.

they are so idealistic in saying so. but where were the pro-choice during the edsa 1? sadly, most of this pro-choice type of people are people without principle and conviction and were actually saved by the church stand.

True! As usual, the "pro-choice" types love to point a finger at others but their own stand falls apart when examined critically.

Now, the famous disbarred ambulance chaser Alan Paguia admitted that it was ex-Senator Francisco Tatad who gave him the tapes. Paguia's admission came in the wake of Tatad's claim, published in a Time report datelined Manila, that it was he (Tatad) who handed the tapes to the erstwhile lawyer.

It is now clear why the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) was quick in calling for the resignation of GMA. Tatad is a die-hard hardliner operator for "Opus Dei", this so-called "CIA" of the Roman Catholic Church. And this also suggests the possibility that --- with the Opus Dei operator Tatad on the top of all this political crisis that victimizes, first and foremost, the very poor --- the CBCP was part of the the destabilization moves against GMA from the very beginning.

Paging the Christian for National Libertation (CNL)! If indeed you are for the liberation of the poor from all sort of oppression, please mete out the necessary punishment to the CBCP which might the crux of all this present day suffering.

Fr. Rod Salazar SVD announced last night that the Catholic Education Association of the Philippines (CEAP), 1,100-strong Catholic learning institutions, is calling for the "impeachment" procedure of GMA.

This is an indirect support to the presidency of GMA. And it somewhat preempts the move of the CBCP, now having a retreat in Manila, to call for the immediate resignation of the incumbent president.

If the CEAP so insists on its calling and the CBCP to force on its likely position, it will be one of the polarization taking place in our midst but which we do not want to see happening.

As we all know that the Church is very much particular with moral acts of each and every one of us and that is what they are teaching every sunday...They are just implementing this as a Nation so thus helping the society on some decisions and concerns...I am just expressing my opinion about them in fairness to their side....
