What you think may not necessarily be what others are thinking. I do pronounce it as short I but If you've read my first post, I said I heard somebody say "AI" and not the short "I" I wouldn't be asking here if I haven't heard somebody say "AI" Had I known it sounded stupid to some, I'd just keep it to myself and grow cancer out of it.
