what's with this con-ass that a lot of people doesn't like about? constituent assembly, right? i dunno but i'm all for change but if the change they propose is to prolong their stay in power then that's another story. most of the people sitting there have been there since but nothing's change

Karon ang ordinaryo nga tawo makasabot na nga ang mga Senado bisag useless sila, dili gusto nga ma abolish sila.
and the extra ordinary pipol ra ang nakasabot sa intentions of the congressman.

A Constitutional Convention requires the direct election of the delegates (at large) by the people. How many delegates are elected will be determined by Congress while Constituent Assembly, the Senate and House of Representatives become a constituent body exercising special power to formulate a new constitution or propose amendments to the constitution.

One of the problems in the 1987 constitution is that it is not clear on whether the two houses will vote jointly or separately...this matter sooner or later will be brought to the attention of the Supreme Court whether whose statutory construction is correct

Personally I have not made a stand yet on whether to support or not to support Con-con or Con-ass. I'd like to view the two sides of the coin before making decisions.... can you please present the arguments here.. I think this would be a good venue to discuss both sides of the issue.

What are the proposed changes to the constitution? how beneficial would it be to change it now? What are the benefits, what are the consequences... etc. I'm hungry for information just like anyone else here.

Pls. pls. pls... We all have studied our 1987 constitution before...pero i guess most of us may have already forgotten its details. The provisions on the proposed changes is one thing I am ignorant about... Please present factual information and kinahanglan dili biased.

Let the arguments roll pls ...
