well, another reason i can think of why some otakus don't want to watch or hate a series is when it becomes "popular", or rather, too popular. the elitist mentality. hehehe i'm sometimes guilty of this.

Now that i think about it, DBZ (and other old shounen series) isn't really any better (although it's kind of original). It's also too long, repetitive scenes, and they keep ridiculously increasing their skills "up to eleven". But gdi, i hold a wonderful memory of it and i still like it (TFS - DBZ Abridged anyone?).

I'm not sure if i'm guilty of this. I don't mind people liking it. It's just that some people are kind of irritating..? Haha. For example, i was into Hetalia because i like history. I didn't mind the blatant pairings and such, since i was having fun with the "poking fun at history" bits. But gdi, there are some fans i've met online that only focus on the pairings of the show (they also tend to not notice/forget the historical bits and it's evident when they tag me on photos/links/etc). It's irritating. GDI AT LEAST KNOW WHY THERE ARE TWO ITALY PERSONS IN THE SERIES. WERE YOU EVEN WATCHING THE SERIES/READING THE WEBCOMIC?!

Anyways, TL;DR: It's a bad habit, but i guess i tend to form a dislike towards a series when "annoying ones" like the show. (Man, i should stop doing that, for the sake of the show) ><

I quit on Bleach after the Aizen arc. For me, Bleach should have ended there and not even bringing Ichigo's shinigami powers would draw me back. For Naruto, I'll only read it if I have free time or if I remember it. One piece? Same thing.

Currently watching/reading old manga and anime series.

I watched Bleach og Naruto pero niabot ang time nga natangong ko sa Ep 46 sa una og ep 5 sa ikaduha. Gusto unta ko mu go forward pero grabe naman ka taas to sila oy. One Piece, bati para kanako ag art pero ang content kay adventurous. However, I cannot watch it kay taas ra pod. Murag 1000+ ang episode count nila overall then overarching na ba. The only long series nga giganahan ko last kay Blood Plus og Gundam OO kay way fillers unlike them.

kon e-kompara ni clang tulo, mas mu-prefer kog subaybay sa One Piece.
grabe na kau kdghan ang fillers sa naruto, samot na ning BLEACH na grabe na gyud ka dragging but i still read its weekly jump..hehehe
some of the weekly shonen mangas nga akong gipangbasa ron kay Katekyo, Toriko, Fairy Tail ug Beelzebub (kini ky alegre pd)

f ur fed up with these 3 - y not read 20th or 21st century boys and monster or watch blood+, black lagoon,berserk,kaiji,akagi,musishi...hmm..kalimot kos uban..or sports-oriented anime.
