You have to start with definitions first. Instinct is
the inherent inclination of a living organism toward a particular behavior. If we use this definition, then I'd say YES.
There's all sorts of "inherent inclinations" like aggressiveness, acquisitiveness, sexual lust, etc. What's unique in the human situation is that we have the ability to learn to override these inclinations. If, as Abraham Maslow defined it, we view instincts as "something which cannot be overridden," ah....then you have to find one particular instinct that cannot be overridden.
So it depends on which definition you'd agree.
