South Park mocks the late Steve (Crocodile Hunter) Irwin
--> http://edition.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/...win.southpark/
LONDON, England (CNN) -- The cartoon series "South Park" has never been shy of courting controversy, but its latest episode has caused outrage by featuring the recently deceased Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin.
Swearing and random death and destruction are staples of the cartoon, which has been broadcast since 1997. Irwin, killed by a stingray's barb while snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef in September is the latest celebrity to be lampooned by the show.
The episode, aired in the U.S. earlier this week, shows Satan preparing to host a Halloween fancy dress party. Other guests include Princess Diana, Hitler and rapper Notorious B.I.G. Critics have been appalled by the Irwin character's depiction in a bloodstained shirt and with a stingray still attached to his chest.
I enjoy watching South Park every once in a while and though the show is notorious for it's 'shock value = comedy' thing... I really do think they've gone a bit too far this time. Steve Irwin was nice a chap and his family are still grieving his death.... don't you think it's cruely insensitive of them? What do you reckon guys? I'm all for free speech and freedom of expression don't get me wrong, but where do we cross the line?
i don't think it's that bad. i find their mocking of Jesus much worse but i don't pay attention anymore to these guys, that's just their schtick for the sake of shocking people...

just seen the episode..
Im a BIG SOUTHPARK fan since day one, ihave watched all of their episode
and kng southpark fan ka makasabot ka na almost every episode naa jd cla i mock na character, and for me dli man gi mock ang character bi Irwin dri, this is a tribute to him gani.. better listen sa conversation ni satan ug ni Irwin ug ang scene before atu.. Gi kick out c Irwin ni satan sa iyang party kay tungod naka "custome" daw cya ug crocodile hunter then someone found it offending daw. and when steve Irwin told satan na he wasnt wearing any custome then gpagawas jd cya.
Ang gi mock ani na Episode ("Hell on Earth") kay ang mga Sweet 16 girls na party sa MTv, mas worst pa gani ang CATHOLIC church kay na MOCK pd ani na episode, they get angry when SATAN didt not invited them to the party and look closely sa mga priest naay mga "pet" na mga BATANG laki..
And if you want to complain about sa style sa southpark na mag mock about a certain celeb.. bai dli lang ikaw kay daghan mo, mao ni naka pasikat ani na show, they mock religion( murmons, catholic, scientology, tanan!) celebrity and politicians.,
