reading and absorbing the title of this thread, the very first image that came to mind was that of a key and lock. many number of keys might fit a certain lock, but only one fits and opens it.

so it is with love and loving. there is what we call the love of lifetimes, not every one is fortunate enough to be drawn by fate to such kind of emotion. it is a road less traveled by. that is the key that fits.

on other roads though, there are locks and there are keys. and there is the very essence of this thread. whichever one chooses, it is a key that never really fits the lock. that to me is just a compromise, love run like a business enterprise. love becoming a "me" thing, or "you" thing.

as for me and my dearest love, we choose the key that fits the lock.
