is your VC has fan or just barely heatsink lang?

did you try removing you VC and using the built-in and play that mkv file again. then update this thread.

Some MKV containers contain x264 encodes with very high sampling rate which can push your processor hard so perhaps your heatsink/cooling is inadequate. If using VLC player you could also activate GPU acceleration which will take some load off your CPU.

Tools/Preferences/Inputs & Codec Settings/Use GPU Acceleration (TICK BOX)
