Anti-sniper Acoustic Detector



Summary
Anti-sniper acoustic detector consists of a regular tetrahedron acoustic array antenna, and it is connected to the detector through cable. The instrument can detect the acoustic signals generated by reflections from
weapons. By means of advanced signal processing methods, it can analyze and calculate the sniper's position, pitch angle, distance and offset distance. The liquid crystal display unit can indicate the location of snipers, the flight path of projectiles, the location of acoustic detection systems, as well as the text display of computation results. Users can adjust acoustic detection threshold in different noise environments. In addition, the system also provides a log function for the shooting event to store every shooting event in the form of log for checking later.

Main Application
On the battlefield, anti-sniper detection system can measure the location
of snipers and reconnoiter enemy fire points in real-time. At border post,
this system can ensure border security. In security and detection, it can
protect VIPs and important facilities, implement environmental vigilance
and control all kinds of terrorist assassination and damage action in time.

Operating Principle
Small-caliber weapons generate two types of sound waves at the time
of firing: one is muzzle wave generated at the muzzle; one is ballistic
shock wave generated by supersonic bullet during the flight. Anti-sniper

acoustic detector detects both types of sound waves, and calculates the sniper's azimuth, pitch angle, bullet's
trajectory straight line, distance, offset distance and other parameters by advanced algorithms.

LAS 1000 - Anti Sniper Detector


The Anti Sniper Detector LAS-1000 is capable of detecting various passive optical and electro-optical devices such as binoculars, night vision devices, weapon sites, range poles, datum optical markers and leveling rods equipped with optical reflectors. Utilizing an eye-safe laser scanner, LAS-1000 detects lenses and reflectors in its line of site even if these objects are covered behind bushes, windows or windshields.

Detector can be handheld or mounted on a tripod. An operator examines the area in the same way as it would be done with a common binoculars. When an optical reflector of any kind is detected, its position is marked with a red dot visible through the viewfinder of the LAS-1000. For added convenience, an audio signal can be activated. The detected object’s distance from the detector is then measured, displayed and can be spoken.

The detector has two modes of operation: long range Field mode and detailed City mode. Additional viewfinder lighting can be activated at low light. Through a Picatinny mount the detector can be combined with night vision, thermal and other observational devices.

The LAS- 1000 may be effectively used to provide security to various objects and VIPs.
