.....FYI resolution ra ang equal pero ang color uniformity dili......CCDs far are more better than CMOS, which is used in all camera phones.......Originally Posted by doki

or how did you come to this conclusion
please lets base it on todays standards...back in the 1970's the CCD is clearly the better technology...but 2005...are you sure it still the same?
from what i know, the best CCD cameras can't even come close to that of the best CMOS cameras.

I just saw the k750i with my very own eyes, and what a beauty. wala dayon ang k700i sa ka nindot ug form factor.
Samples of Professional Cameras with CMOS:
Kodak DCS Pro SLR/n and all the latest Kodak top of the line Professional DSLR Cameras (14MegaPixel)
Canon 1Ds MarkII and all other latest top of the line Canon Professional DSLR Cameras(17.2MegaPixel)
Nikon D2X the latest top of the line Nikon Professional DSLR Cameras(12.84MegaPixel)
Sigma SD10 (10MegaPixel)
Samples of the best cameras with CCD:
Nikon D70
Fuji S2 (6.5mp sensor effective 6.1mp)
Fuji S3 (6.1mp sensor effective 12.3mp superCCD)
a quote from dpreview:
one of the most significant and obvious changes is the sensor, Nikon utilized a JFET sensor in the D2H/D2Hs (with mixed results) but with the D2X have moved to a new APS sized CMOS sensor (just like Canon).
-- JFET is a almost similar to CMOS sensor...developed by nikon
now why would Nikon op for CMOS for their top of the line camera if it wernt any good or if it was inferior in photo quality to that of their lower end DSLR D70 which uses a CCD sensor.
sometimes its not whats on paper...its what actually is
the final product. the final usage. the final output.
makes you think ey...![]()

top of the line professional camera's, this is where manufactures pay no expense on cost to produce the BEST.
if CMOS cost more, it must be the reason why some manufactures use CCD on their cheaper lower end models and save the CMOS to the expensive models because its worth it...better quality? makes sense?
but if CMOS cost less, why would manufactures use it on their most expensive camera and puts the CCD on their cheaper cams...unless CMOS produces better more superior quality right? makes sense?
anyways, be aware that sonyericsson will release CCD version of k750i starting some time aug. expected to be in cerculation as soon as they sellout all the CMOS version mga 4th quarter daw...hmmm, business decision...cost cutting?
SE internally claims CCD is better daw?
NEW version k750i
- Add CCD sensor (instead of CMOS)
- Better auto-focus function in dark conditions
- Better detalization of objects at the distances of 5 meters and lower comparing to CMOS
- Another algorithm of images processing - color saturation is better
- Better macro-mode shot processing
- Saving of shots made increased a little bit
- Power consumption is 5-10 percents higher
- Lens is changed as a result of new CCD sensor
hmmm...again, it makes you thinkhehe!
