i don't think Mods ban mac addresses. not unless they have packet sniffers or any tools that could sniff your laptop's local area adapter's mac address.

i simply think it's the ip address that was banned.

deleting cookies won't help either ( that is another story) since the message he got was "he was banned from the forum".

there are members that are already banned. maybe one of the IP range similar to yours (alainphillip ) has been banned. The best thing you should do is to send PM to the mods. they could compare from their ban list the banned IP to your own IP.

i think, mac address can't be retrieved remotely. only you ip address is being sent through ur http packet.

same predicament jud ta bro akong IP address gi ban wala ko kahibalo naunsa nga wala man unta ko ma warned or violate sa ilang rules naa cguro nakagamit nga nalagot ang usa ka mod mao giban ang IP pwede ba na diretso ban ang IP address without warning...

pm any site keeper or the owner itself. give your IP address and let them exclude that IP address in their banned list.

It would help if you can paste the entire error message here... another possible cause is that the laptop is set to "Login Forever" and the account that was set to "Login Forever" is banned. Try checking the menu's on top if you see the "Logout" button instead of the "Login" button... if you see "Logout", click on it and see what happens.

I'm having the same error sa among balay. I can't access istorya.net at home. I'm accessing Istorya.Net right now at an internet cafe.

Here's the error message that I get:

I PMed GlassMoon and she said that it might be my IP Address. I already PMed her my IP Address but still have the same problem.

My internet connection is SMART BRO, and I guess all of us have the same IP Address so it's possible that I have a neighbor who was the actual target of the ban.. Is there any solution to this?

I'm accessing Istorya.Net now in an Internet Cafe.
