And by the way, I disagree that science can only give us answers because it's not. Faith and reason can give you answers. In fact, reason is the basis of science and other disciplines as well.

Good point. In fact, one cannot take an absolutist view of science because some of its most basic principles are ASSUMPTIONS that cannot be empricially proven using the scientific method.

I did not realize how long the article was.... but does the catholic church even believe in prophecies? I do not think so. anything that does not come from the pope is usually taboo for the rc church and is never accepted.
