I carry a licensed Paraordnance s14.45 PXT limited, i had this gun for over a year, I purchased it from Twin Pines Davao. The best thing about the Paraordnance PXT model is its power extractor, thats why they called it PXT. The standard magazine load was 14 bullets, but I was able to increase it to 16, after I swapped the original magazine base pad with a Tony Pascual made +2 base pad. Then I swapped the recoil guide rod with a Tony Pascual Recoil Master that has a 12lbs recoil spring. The front sight was also swapped with Tony Pascual Fiber Optic Red color sight, but i need not change the rear sight as the Limited models has standard adjustable Bo-Mar sights.

Actually this model, is out of the box competition ready, but i wanted a few tweaks to fit what i want. After more than 5,000 rounds fired, i had no complaint what so ever.

i'd like to post some pics, but i dont know how.

my younger brother carries an older model Paraordnance P13.45 Limited (TwinPines Davao), and one of my brother inlaw carries a Paraordnance S13.45 Limited(TwinPines RainTree Mall Cebu), and they dont have any problems either.

Glocks are also a great choice, i know coz i tried different models. in fact, my other 2 brother inlaw and 3 uncles carry Glocks. If you've heard those claims, that Glock has been proven to be effective even after it went through the most unusual and ridiculous test, ITS ALL TRUE.

    @ OGNOSAJ ...

DO you really carry your Para .45 with all 16 rounds in it ? It becomes so heavy right does making it uncomfortable as a sidearm or a concealed weapon right ? Just curious . Otherwise if its for your competition use range pistol then I understand why .

yup, i really do, not in cebu by the way, im from southern mindanao( i lived in cebu for over 11 years), its a must in our area, and i use my gun in active competitions(that explains the modifications). , i use to carry a Llama Max-I single stack, but i upgraded to a highcapacity because i was going to use it for competition and i dont have to carry more magazines for my daily use.

its a little heavy, but you'll get use to it, if you've carried it almost everyday, for over a year.

and by the way, having a good holster really helps, i'm currently using a Uncle mike's super belt slide holster cordura(size 5 for my gun) its an ambidextrous type of holster.

all of the parts i used for the modifications are available at APL located in Lahug.

Tnx for the clarification OGNOSAJ , I was only wondering because I am a 1911 fanatic now thus making me think that thats the very reason why single stack semi autos were design for 1911's are because to make it lighter and you wont realy need all those ammos because we all know whats a stopping power of a .45 acp unless as youve said is for competition also .

I also use Uncle Mikes kydex products .

Again .. anybody ? Any choice of back up when your sidearm fails you ?
