@angel: It's better nga ang imong work, adto sa imong field of interest. Working in a BPO is a bit tempting, kay dako ang starting, around 2 to 3 times more, than mag entry level ka sa MEPZ. But in the future, if interested jud ka sa imong profession as an engineer, there are a number of engineering companies here in the Philippines who pays more than most BPO companies offer.

You have to make sacrifices and not take the easy money, if you want to pursue and practice your field of expertise.

ECE man kaha ka, you can work in NGCP/TransCo, Lexmark RND, even Oil an Gas companies such as Shell, Chevron, and Petron needs Electronics Engineers also. Not to mention the number of Power Plants in Cebu and the nearby areas.

Taiyo Yuden might provide you a stepping stone, for experience in an engineering company. Try apply sa Teradyne, mura pod nag pang BPO ilang sweldo dinha...

Angel, nice ang taiyu for career start up, then if you gain experience then try much better company. If you want to practice in your field then as much as possible ayaw sa sulod sa BPO Companies, but if you want na daku ka ug sweldo then try some bpO companies, but im sure ur knowledge in ur field will be stagnant!
Bisan unsa ka daku imu sweldo kung imu lifestyle is daku sad, tabla ra!
Plan out what career you will take ahead. Advice lang nku, ari sa technical na work kay ECE man ka,you will be higly marketable.

Kung mahimu ayaw sa manufacturing, ari sa Oil and Gas,Petrochem,Power Plant and Steel Company!

agree ko tanan sa inyo gipanulti...pero kanang mga company nga gi suggest ninyo kay mu discriminate clag girl na strike 4 jud ko sa gender discrimination...hay nako kapait jud diri sa philippines tsk tsk tsk..taiyo nalang sa ko para naa lang jud experience...thanks guys!!!

Bitaw, true.. Naay uban companies nga mo discriminate ug engineers nga babae, depende sa position. Naa man jud uban work nga maglisod mo, especially if more on physical. Sa imong field nga electronics engineer, maglisod jud ka if field maintenance.

Pero, okay raman if female engineers naa sa office, like RND, QA, Cost and Planning, Design Engineers...

Anyway! Bata paka TS, don't worry, ana jud na while mangapply pa ug work, lisod pa labi na wala pa kay experience. Pero if naana kay solid experience, ang company na mag drool nimo for an interview.

to tell you frankly, i applied in taiyo yuden pag 2003... accounting staff gud and i got hired... wala lang jud ko madayun coz layu-an ko'g lapulapu city... i instead go to the company nga mas duol sa amo balay...

akong silingan babaye, nag work diha ang iya trabaho kay mag duot ug push cart, mag alsa ug mga cartoon tag 10 kilos. dili man na pang babaye na trabaho unta oi.

20+ years na siya nag trabaho diha, naka hukom na mo undang na, nagpabayad perte gamaya sa nadawat. paeta sad sulod sa 22 years ang madawat kay 150thousand ra man.

Gamay jud nang sweldo ang mga production operators dinha, labi na kanang under sa agency.

Naa koy friend nga under sa agency before, naa pod ko friend nga accounting sa Taiyo. Ge sultian ko niya pila ang sweldo nga gibayad sa Taiyo towards that agency. Dako ang deperensya oi. Ang madawat sa operator around 4k-5k ang net per month, while ang naa sa accounting records kay 6-7k.

mao bitaw Scott, pero gawas na gamay ra sweldo di pa jud tarongon ug compute. 330/day ang sweldo 22 years nag work 150thousand ra ang gibayad. ambot kung unsay gibasihan nila sa ilang computation.

ang lamang lng ni TS is shegraduated with honors and engineering grad pd xa..i think direct ila hiring, not through agencies..mao na kpait if muagi pa agency ang sweldo..mo-tumbling ka sa kdghan computations

someone with your brains TS should go for it with Taiyo..i believe this will toughen you up as an employee with the working environment and knowledge you'll be gaining..it's a strict company because it's Japanese if i'm not mistaken..and that's what makes it extra special..BPOs are easy money and easy rsad imu resignation unya dha puhon sd..hehehe..
