What are your thoughts on the Cebu Metro BUS?

I think they are basing this idea to Japan's bus system.

It would be good for it to be implemented here

Super doooooooooper ka NICE aning idea. I salute jud Mayor Tomas and his team for having this idea. Maka save jud ta ani sa fare nya nice pa jud kaayo ang BUS. Dili siksikan unlike sa jeepney nga way mga respeto ang mga konductor. 2 thumbs-up Mayor Osmeña!!!

.. our roads are wide enough to accomodate these buses so traffice and congestion won't be that a problem. As stated by Sir Zerone and evs the present threat of undisciplined drivers must be solved. LTFRB and LTO should have a massive driver's license revamp on all the jeepney drivers. Make them retake all the exams and undergo intensive driver's seminar. The most abusive drivers are those of 12I, 10M, 10H and 13C routes.

The issue here is not the bus but the quality and discipline of drivers. Mag sige naman gani ta ug yawyaw kay naay jeep mokalit lng ug liko sa right kay mo pick up og passengers. Imagine a Bus in the middle lane mo kalit lng ug liko sa right, unya ang pag liko kay dili ang whole body kung dili atubangan ra kay diha man situated ang entrance sa bus. The bus could take up 2 lanes, 2 lanes ang matang-gong.

With that aside, we should decide if we stick with jeepneys or buses. Kay tungod sa atong traffik situation karon, I do not believe the city could survive with both. Imagine Jeepney drivers and buses trying to compete for passengers and driving recklessly.

LTFRB and LTO should have a massive driver's license revamp on all the jeepney drivers.

That "SHOULD" BE THE SOLUTION TO THE UNDISCIPLINED DRIVERS' PROBLEM, but I do not think thats the REAL solution. Get the point? I dont want to be a cynic but a massive revamp will only result in more corruption. You may say I'm negative and probably anti gloria, but lets get real, people who are cross eyed can get driver's license even without corrective glasses, so do people who can barely walk and see. I got my driver's license when I was 13, the guy who took my picture said I should not smile because I looked "too" young.
