Kung tinuod man gani ni, i think it's about time na gi ing-ana ni nila oi. No offense pero from what i observed, dili naman in demand ang nurses karon. Well, not in the Philippines, prolly also abroad. Maybe before, 90's or early 20's pero karon ka daghan ng nursing nya wala'y trabaho. Ang uban naa tuod trabaho pero wala ma align sa ilang gi eskwelahan, i know many na nag call center na RN..

    Just my 2 cents.

its about time that the higher education puts a hold (or maybe a stop) in accepting nursing students. There are a good number of parents and students who pursues nursing because it's the "IN THING" and it's one of the expensive degrees in college. Fact is when they graduate there is no assurance that they can land a job. There is a HUGE mismatching of employment for various industries and that needs to be addressed. One good example are the RN working in call centers, or worst....staying home and be a bum.

tsk tsk tsk.. kaluoy pud... to think mao ni ang hottest course 6-8 years back..

di na ta dapat ma surprised ani.. basic law of supply and demand..

yes there is demand for nurses in US and other western countries but it is in their best economic interest to hire their locals.. taas baya kaau unemployment sa US n UK.

and if mag hire nman lang gani og foreigners.. they could hire pakistani/indians/chinese which are cheaper and are equal in competence..

nganu sa US ra mn gd target sa mga nurses krn..there are other countries needing IENs..

murag US ila 1st choice because lots of them watch too much hollywood..

matud pa sa ako relatives, though dako ang sweldo, dako mn sd gasto ngd2..it's all about the cost of living..

Closing nursing colleges is IMPOSSIBLE, but limiting enrollees is PLAUSIBLE..

    OT:
Sa general discussions unta ni na thread ibutang..this is not news..
