This game is a disappointment. I'm a GT fanboy and did a 100% completion rate with GT1 to 3 because I never had much fun with any other racer. I expected this to top Forza 3 on the xbox 360 but sad to say the developers ran out of time and money to get this right. The game is not ugly though, I must say, but the time they spent on developing this game and all the hype that came with it wanted me to imagine a game that is far superior to Forza 3 (which by the way is amazing) they could have at least get the AI and graphics on standard car models right.

maybe, you were expecting too much. at least gt5 is the best racing games out there! 1000+ cars in just 1 game. dynamic weather system, and all other features. sayang, if disappointed ka sa AI, enjoy shaving ur laptimes nlng hehe

Gitawagan ko sa itech ayala karon lang, na abot na daw akong gipa reserve na collector's edition (R3 man siguro). Pero nag pre-order sad ko before sa amazon.com, then currently gi ship na karon. Ako nalang gi ingnan ang itech na di nalang nako kuhaon. So kung naa ninyo interested sa collector's edition, naa usa available sa itech karon.

problems with the AI? level up your Driver level, check these reviews, its obvious who has played it for a while

and from a player who had advanced far enough into the game

I am a 100% clear racer and I try to drive racing simulations as I would drive the car in RL. I also do not tend to exploit the physics and tracks (going crazy over kerbs, going off-track and over shortcuts, passing on impossible places and so on).
I find AI of GT5 advanced over Prologue, especially in blocking procedures. Also, AI drivers make mistakes and they fight among themselves - which makes for some great moments. However, they will brake on time if you're in front of them (no more GT-GT4 bumping), when you pass they'll try to regain position on the very fair manner and so on.

In short - in my personal book, GT5 have the best AI routines I've ever seen in genre so far.

can't blame the reviewers though, there were just given the review copies 2 days before the release of the game, and the pressure to release a review early is very high because we are on the internet age

Maybe I expected too much from a great franchise with all the development time it had. Ang standard cars layo ra jud sa premium cars. Ako man gud sukdanan ang Forza 3. I was hoping that GT5 will blow Forza 3 and the rest away with revolutionary gameplay, graphics, and features. But dili bati ang GT5 ha, it's just that I saw and played a similar driving game last year pa with a very deep customization feature.
