Naka-adto na dyud ko'g Salonga SM and saw for myself the available Epiphone. Pagka-wala'y ayo. It's a semi-hollow body version of a smaller es-355 (forgot what the actual model is)...the one sold at Salonga has a laminated body and a three-piece white mahogany neck. It clearly is a low-quality guitar..you don't even have options to upgrade it kay they used a mini soap-bar PUP nga lisod mpangita-an og replacement upgrade. Bati dyud ang build quality. The neck was slightly warped and I don't think it could be fixed by adjusting the truss rod.

Is it a fake Epiphone? There were no tags or labels, so my guess would be, yes it is.

tested an Epiphone Les Paul Custom at Salonga-Lawaan yesterday...this time, naa na mga tags ang certificates..Php15T, naa pa daw less but forgot to ask how much...pretty-well set-up...maayo ang PUP, sounds like a true Gibson Les Paul pero medyo trebly lang gamay...used an Ibanez amp...tobacco-burst with gold-plated hardware....was lighter than a Gibson, so I suspect it was made from mahogany....

    From wikipedia.com

    Les Paul Special II

The Les Paul Special II is manufactured by Epiphone with a retail price starting at under $300 USD.[10] It has two Alnico classic humbucking pickups, one master volume knob, one tone knob, a three-way pickup selector switch and a rosewood fretboard (with plastic dot inlays). A Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop-bar tailpiece come standard. It is usually constructed of a basswood body and a bolt-on mahogany neck and comes in black, white, red, cherry sunburst and vintage sunburst. Company marketing literature occasionally refers to this model as Epiphone's most popular Les Paul model, in part because of both their classic design, as well as their over all simplicity. Although the design has gone largely unchanged over the years, Special IIs have been manufactured in different locations, including China most recently.[11] Unlike some older models, current Special IIs (which are priced slightly cheaper than in years past), do not bear a "Gibson" labeled truss cover, nor does name appear anywhere on the headstock. Instead the truss cover reads "Special II" in bright lettering. On the used market, some players seek out older models due to this difference. Special IIs comes standard with either nickel plated Chrome or Black hardware.

Some Epiphone Guitars sell at A Salonga are not faked.
