Whoa! hold your horses, before you start calling GMA and a charter change

- Yes, it is a stereotype. this stereotyping in the movies came long before Manilyn Reynes was even born. But that doesn't mean that every Manileño thinks that Visayans are all domestic helpers.

- Do you actually think, you can just pick up the phone and call the President? or do you even think that GMA herself reads her emails from her publicly known email addy?

- What you actually do is to stop watching these movies and instead support the cebuano independent filmmakers, such as SineBuano, who have been producing Visayan short films to be shown in Manila and elsewhere.

- As long as there is a market for it, studios will keep producing these kinds of materials.

kanang mga tagalog kasagaran mga hambugero/hambugera na sila, ila tang i-look down nga mga bisaya.. pero pwera panghambog lang pud, mas bright pa ta kay nila... kasagaran mga maayong politiko bisayans... ang mga tagalog nga politiko kasagaran mga oppositions...

Ki-insulto nila ang atong lingwahe tsk tsk tsk  too bad.  hilas kaayu ning mga tagalog.  wala sila kibaw nga mas maayu og mas buotan kitang mga cebuanos compared to the tagalog palaka.  they should never thnik cebuanos or bisaya as DH, buring, mangingilad, etc.

This is starting to be a tagalog-hate thread. Address the issue without belittling anyone. People, if you start belittling someone you're stooping down to the level of those who belittle you. Think about it.

sorry for the confusion, it's not President GMA but GMA Pinoy TV. and unfortunately, we only have GMA Pinoy TV and TFC in the U.S. so limited ra ang choice. and if somebody actually does call the President, at least that somebody is not afraid to do something about it. that's what's wrong with us, seldom ra kaayo ang mo take sa BIG Step to help solve a problem. wala kaayo ta'y belief sa POWER OF ONE.

lets not be too emotional guys. we know that it looks like people in manila are trying to belittle us mga bisaya by associating bisaya to people na we could say gamay naeskwelahan or people nga wala'y nahibaw-an. but kung buot huna-hunaon, mga bisaya kay mas talented compared to manila people.. name it, music, sports, politics.. everywhere, mga BISDAK are showing off their wares. lets think it that way, we know what we're made of.

for me, the best thing to do is just formally inform GMA (manila) about this, of course in a good way. they'll do something about it
