Well a few months ago, Apple bought a patent from this company LiquidMetal (Source). So I'm guessing the next iPhone (codename: iT-1000) will be almost indestructible (unless of course you throw it into vat of molten steel), and can take any shape or form using an Apple made app called iShapeshifter.

For next year's Apple event, Steve Jobs will then come up on stage and says: "This is no ordinary day folks. Today, is Judgement Day for all those people still using a RIM, Android, WP7, and Nokia phone."
