Yup, I'd say iComm is one of the good companies out there. Dili lang ni cya heard of kaau since it was named Farcite before. True ang 9 months nga proby pero di man sad ka mag huna2x ana if ever sure pud ka sa imong skills nga ma regularize ka

In terms of working in iComm... in a 1-10 range, i'd say naa ni cya sa 7 nga range if only the salary was a bit higher then I'd have given it a 9 since this is my only reason for leaving the company 8 months ago

And for those car enthusiasts (id say car freaks... like me) who are into the IT field... I RECOMMEND you guys work there... best place to be since you get to be exposed to lots and lots of JDM cars whew...

For those developers who wants to apply in iComm (formerly known as Farcite) i'll break this down for you guys:

Beginners -- a good starting job but not for long term job. But kung ma ilad mo sa ilang promises luoy mo ma stress out mo og ayo didto.
Senior developers -- it depends on the salary package and your responsibilities. If you think your good and then they pay you high as what you desired then go for it.

There are 2 boss in development, one is good (internal applications) and one is bad (external applications). If you're assigned to external applications then bad luck and say your prayers unless you gonna kiss your boss ass. If your in internal application your safe, but I've heared that the good boss is going back to indonesia to start up iComm IT indonesia.

In the end, if you really want a job and only iComm can offer you then go for it.. but be sure you should know how to get out also.

ahak.basin mapareho ni kagubot sa NCR na thread..i hope dili ni maabot sa personalay..

as for the bosses, siguro para nako wala man perfect na boss, as what my manager said, he only good because of the people working behind him.

if naa mo grudge agains your boss or if naa sila policy nga dili mo nahan, i guess its much better if you approach them, give him your opinion and air your side, perhaps he would listen wholeheartedly.

unlike anang godCode kay he is his boss.hehehe..kwartahan mana si godCode. he's a "gay"-mer..LOL..

I think iComm is a good company. In fairness to the iComm people... But I also know that JCN, yes its true, way back in NEC and Bigfoot. He has that reputation, like he thinks he is knowledgeable enough, but actually, it was his people (whom he pressured a lot) who worked for it, and he don't even care how they did it as long as it worked. I just pity those staff who worked under him. I know some people from iComm also since IT in cebu is not a big world. I pity the iComm management because im sure JCN is receiving a big salary (thats for sure, in Bigfoot he receives BIG MONEY, and for sure iComm gives him more than that). with regards to the 7K junior entry level salary, i suggest JCN's pay should be but off and should be divided to those junior web, ahihihihi since they are the one who is working that much. I think there is a job suited for JCN, a call center agent, he is good in communication skills (but just that). ahihihihi. Well that is my observation since I have worked with him in the past.

I also learned a news that JCN was suspended in NEC before because he was caught playing at the server. hihihihi.

iComm offers great experience for both fresh and already experienced programmers. Company offers various programming languages both new technology and old, to master. From Microsoft to open source programming. codes are hardcore! experience here is very good, nevermind the salary.

As for our group, pioneer group in the company, the experience is great, manager is great, id say one of the best, group bonding is close, flexibility is one of the most admired traits we have.

    PL's Used:
    VB6, .Net 2003, VB.NET 2005, ASP, MSSQL2000, MSSQL2005, JAVA, PHP, MySQL

antidigitalsuperman, your right because you are with the good boss I assumed. What if you are in the shoes of the other group to be more specific the "web" group would you still say that?

femmefatale, you are very right on what you said. He is a good communicator into the management level, but many people under him can comment his not into people oriented management. In the case of web boss, its his style that's how he market his self and get a BIG SALARY.

I have a good friend there who was an ex-iComm and I told him that there was a post in istorya.net, I've talked (sort of an interview) to him online and this is what he said:

The external development (web) boss is somehow wears a dangerous smile and he also stressed out his good in intimidating other departments like marketing.
The external (web) developers are cool and polite, the only gap between the internal (vb) and external (web) is the boss of external. Both groups work for iComm not with their boss.

When I asked him what makes iComm not totally a good company, he answered every company has its own lapses to the employees. Maybe in the eyes of the managment the web boss has all the good points but for the people under him they didn't like it.

I guess the point here is the problem of the web boss is a minor thing,. Question is, what did the company do with regards to the problems of the developers that was being raised and no actions where taken especially complaints about the web boss?

I also have another friend who is still working in iComm, he also stressed out that everytime a developer leaves the company it got the chance to talk (but not all) to the president for the concerns and problems why they want to leave the company. For him, the company some sort doesn't know how to value right people for a job? I don't know if "value" is the correct word to describe.

Again as I said in my previous reply, if iComm is the only company that offers a job and your jobless, then take it. But be sure when to say I quit and look for another job.
