    IMHO:
The manual is only to protect the interest of the manufacturer. . .

My bike, i rode it hard during the break-in period. hard break-in is my personal pick
I did just follow a simple rule, 5-10 minutes engine warm-up/cool-down before and after each ride. . .

bro ask lang ko.. di man ko sweto aning mga motor gud.. unsa-on ug cool down sa makina?.. warm-up noun kahibaw ko, pero libog ko unsay cool down? pawngon rba na ang motor? ..hehehe

when I say cooldown, sir. . . after my trip (especially long-trips), dili nako largohon ug off ang motor inig-abot. I let it cooldown(at engine normal idle) for about 5 minutes before engine-off. This way, your MC's engine is brought-down to it's normal operating temperature before it is turned-off.

As I've said, this is what I do to my MC. It's your prerogative to follow or not.
