HK have people posessing a broader mind like jackie Chan,
but sad to say they are the same like the rest of us, having an emotionally inclined and close minded individuals.

yup, it was Pia Hontiveros who said those things, guess she heard it herself. Nag interview man to siya sa representative sa Phil sa Hongkong, the rep said there were WORST things that some HK citizens called us, When asked what it is, he refused to reveal ug unsa ang WORST pa na gitawag sa ato. What can be worst than Monkeys?? Maybe dili pang TV mao wala na niya gisulti.

We called the American Liberators before as monkeys because of their hairy chest and other parts of their body. But in the end, the filipina loves the Americans nowadays because they are so "kilig" sa ilang hairy parts hehehehe...

As for HK citizens that are calling Filipinos as monkeys, look who's talking....

"this kind of things always happen around the world. It happen to hk's people, the whole hk is talking about it. Its really sad," the movie star said at around 11:40am (Philippine Time) on August 25, 2010.

Jackie Chan explained that he had just arrived in Hong Kong from South Korea and was shocked to learn of the tragic hostage crisis last August 23 that left eight tourists from Hong Kong dead.

"If they killed the guy sooner, they will say why not negotiate first? If they negotiate first, they ask why not kill the guy sooner? So sad," he added.

In a magnanimous gesture, Jackie Chan extended a hand of friendship to Filipinos:

"HK is a nation built by a lot of different people..don't worry! We do not hate!" he Tweeted.

"I remember the day before in korea we talked about how people should love each other. We already have so many natural disasters..typhoon, tsunami, everything. Humans should be united and not kill or hate each other," he exhorted. - GMANews.TV

Yeah, Jackie Chan is right. Whatever step you take, there's always critisism. But I still believe the SWAT should have been ready as a plan B strategy. If they had shot Mendoza's leg with a sniper rifle while in the open during the release of some hostages, it won't have gotten worse. He would would have been disabled and unable to get back up inside the bus, giving enough time for SWAT to neutralize him in the open. Instead they let him go back to make things worse and more difficult. They should have beedn ready to grab the opportunity. Sayang....
