imaginee unsa ka samok ang manila karon... eng.ana mahitabo sa cebu or mas worst if ma capital city nah.. di mn knahanglan ma capital ang cebu kay eventhough dli kita ang capital city mas nndot pa ug dungog ang cebu kaysa sa manila... mao ra ghapon storyaa..

i would agree. if cebu will be made as the capital of phil. bec. all the budgets will be given to cebu so in that way cebu will be more progressive in business and lots of foreign investors will be investing their business here.

I also agree with imee. ang Manileno ra nakapahimus sa asense while they mock the rest of the country for being "backwards". And yet they are notorious for being shallow and superficial, which is evident in their idolizing movie stars to god-like levels. That's why, again, the place is notorious for being celebrity-run. We all know it is not unheard of to see celebrities run for office. mao na wala ta asenso (no offense to the decent manilenos i know)
from a geographical and economic standpoint mas pabor gyud cebu.
1) it is the center of the country, which means it is equally accessible from the north AND south. Hence, cheaper ang pamasahe.
2) It is a mountaineous region which makes it virtually safe from storms and floods. Being a mountain, it is more economical foundation-wise to erect buildings here.
3) From a tourism perspective they would also love our beaches (although I humbly agree that beaches down south of the phils are exceptionally better)
of course and disadvantage lang gyud
1) kuripot ang cebuano. lolz
2) some cultures may find our tone brash and arrogant
3) we seem to be sarcastic about a lot of issues (my fellow cebuanos, ilugar lang unta na nato)

it won't matter kung asa ang capital. it's the people who runs it, and it would be really unfair if ibalhin diri aron lang jud ma develop og samot ang Cebu. dapat ma-realize nato na dili ra Cebu and siyudad sa Pilipinas
